It got cold. We moved into the “trades” phase of the project. And things seemed to have slowed down quite a bit. Now that I got my excuses for not posting out of the way, here are a few quick updates!
First, the big thing we’ve been working on is designing the kitchen, cabinets in particular. Here’s a bright, sunny shot of what we’d like:
I say “what we’d like” because like most things, our taste is a bit outside our budget. So we’re trying to make this work! But TBD.
While we work on the kitchen, the plumbers got to work. We’ve got all of our plumbing lines in now, including the primary shower with a 6 function shower set up:
Rain shower, wall shower, foot shower, all the showers.
We also took advantage of some black friday sales to grab the last 2 TVs we’ll be installing in the house when its done. These will stay in the boxes for now, easy to move in when it’s time.
The 83″ is absolutely massive! It makes the 65″ frame look tiny.
And then one last special treat … the bronco got into the garage for the first time! It was a little sketchy, and very muddy, but she looks pretty good in there 😀
Next week, lots of things should get going: windows, exterior doors, and the roof! That then unlocks the exterior siding as well, so hopefully before January is done, at least from the outside, it’ll look like a house! Many more updates coming soon!!
