So after a bit of a hiatus from mid-December through the end of January, things are back in action, with a vengeance. On the outside, we’ve got doors and windows going in, a roof on, siding coming soon. And on the inside, we’ve got plumbing, HVAC, and are just about to start on electrical. Plus cabinets have been ordered, bathroom and kitchen fixtures have arrived, and we’re wrapping up our tile selections. Frenzy of activity!
Our windows are being installed and should wrap up in a few days. Loving the thin-bezel black windows we picked from Marvin!
They look even better from the inside, with a white jam to make them stand out.
The upstairs HVAC install looks like something out of a sci fi nightmare – black worms from space, everywhere!
Just today, we got to see what a new, modern, higher efficiency furnace would look like. It’s almost dainty! Way different than the hulking monstrosity its replacing. We’ll have 2 zones in the house, and this unit will support the basement and first floor, with a heat pump for the second zone upstairs.
We also got a huge delivery of sinks, toilets, faucets, etc!
Loving this flurry of activity – I’m definitely addicted to progress. And it looks like we’re back in a position of having enough each week to post, so stay tuned!
