So we’re now in the electrician + low-voltage wiring phase and I dramatically underestimated how much wire was involved.
First, a shot of the low voltage wire. We’re running about 50,000′ of wire total, including cat6, smart home, speaker, etc.

I’m not sure if we’ll use all of this, but they sure are trying.
At the same time, the electricians have been there for the last 2 weeks installing light fixtures, outlets, and wiring everything up. It’ is a 10 person operation, apparently!

All of our (100+) light fixtures run back to the basement control room, where they will be controlled through a series of dimmer panels, to be installed. It is a MASS of wires.

These are the wires running up the stairwell to the attic for distribution in all of the upstairs rooms.

Each of these fixtures, along with a pair or two, get a dedicated run down to the basement so that they can be individually dimmed and controlled.
Truly wild to see it all being run.
In other non-wire news, our stairs are also in! Here’s a shot of the back stairs that will run from the utility wing to the family room.
