Pardon the gap in posts, but its been a busy couple of months. New job, prepping to move (again, before we move into the house), and spring sports in high gear. But without further ado…
First up, the exterior of the house is almost entirely complete! Siding is finished, metal accent roof is done, windows are all in, and the front door has been replaced with the correct one! Looks amazing, if I don’t say so my self…

We’ve also finished running about 10 million miles of cable through the house: cat6, speaker cable, control system, security system, and of course romex for high voltage electrical. All of that has been secured and terminated.

And last but not least, our most recent milestone: insulation! We really wanted this house to be energy efficient and relatively sealed. We also had a couple of interior walls that we made sure to insulate, for noise reduction, including the “common-area” walls that abut the girls rooms, the main powder room, and the open-foyer area where noise will carry.

A few other unphotographed updates:
- All of the stairs are in (visible in the last picture) although they are still covered up to stay protected.
- Our kitchen cabinets have arrived! They are sitting boxed up in the garage for now, but very excited about this! We were able to sneak a peak at the finish, and its beautiful.
- The garage door wiring is in, so the doors will be a fast follow.
Next up: drywall! Then we can really move ahead with finishing things!
